I just absolutely adore this pinboard found on the city sage. I love the blues and the sand colors…totally conveys the outdoorsy, beachy calm she was going for. Love love love. The story behind it is cool too. And it led me to yet another pretty blog, size too small, and I never hate that. Ah, I love blurfing (you know, blog surfing. ha..ha..ha. yeah…).

Isn’t it beautiful?! I LOVE the billowy collar…the waist…the whole thing!

Hope everyone has a beautiful Memorial Day weekend! Have a party!!!

I was flipping through the latest beatifully photographed issue of Martha Stewart Living and stumbled across these gorgeous glass cloches from Sur La Table. In the article, Sunday Best, they were featured perfectly displaying baked desserts - biscotti, brownies, cookies - so pretty. Oh boy, the baker in me is dying for one. And I love their name. Cloches…Cloches….sounds kind of french. And we all know how I feel about la francais..

We had such a beautiful weekend - I hope all of you did too.
My mother-in-law gave us a super fantastic anniversary gift and took our boys for a sleep-over Friday night. What a sweetie. But since I had to work Friday night, we couldn’t go out to dinner for our anniversary…boo. However, we could go out to breakfast on Saturday. Yay! I don’t know if it’s because we’re such coffee crazies, but my husband and I love a good relaxing breakfast. We can never ever ever seem to find the perfect place though. Good coffee, really good food, good atmosphere…that’s all we ask! And yet we’re continually baffled by how hard it is to find a decent breakfast place. Grr. But I think we’ve reached the end of our search with our find this weekend - Henrietta’s Table. It’s breakfast perfection. Mike stumbled across it on his way to a meeting on Friday morning, tried it, and knew he had better bring me back. The next day. Boy, he knows me. The place is me to a tee.

Henrietta’s Table is snuggled into the Charles Hotel of Harvard Square in Cambridge. (The only drawback - ugh! Cambridge is such a pain to get to…but we’ll work with it…) From the moment I walked in, I loved it. The decor and ambiance were lovely - it kept bringing to mind the Nancy Meyer film sets (Something’s Gotta Give, and It’s Complicated) that I love so much. Just sitting there was dreamy. Then the food. It was gorgeous! I had the Red Flannel Hash, Poached Eggs with Hollandaise Sauce - served on a skillet - ha! Not something I would normally order, but Mike had raved about it, so I had to try. Plus I am loving poached eggs (and hollandaise!) lately, so that settled it. It was salty and creamy and scrumptious. Mike had a mountain of an omelet, and we shared a homemade biscuit - so good! Oh, and the coffee was super fantastic too. We’ve found a winner!

So we talked and ate and basked in the breakfasty goodness of Henrietta’s Table for our anniversary. It was perfect. Then we started our weekend - Henrietta’s totally set the tone for a beautiful one. She’s a keeper.

This picture looks a bit like how I feel. I think. Anyway, I like this picture of Garance Dore and her friend Jade - they look so happy, and maybe worn out, like me. Anthro has put me through the ringer this week, but it’s ok! I’m sooo loving working there! It’s not only the atmosphere I love, and I don’t think I’ll ever tire of, but what I didn’t really expect is how much I love the people! The people that I work with are so fun and encouraging and just a blast to work with. Love my anthro girls already!
Feeling happy and blessed. (and exhausted…). Time to sleep…
